The Inglewood & Districts Community Bank board has launched its our 2020 Community Grants Program through the Bendigo Bank Foundation.
The grant program will remain open for 12 months and aims to provide funding for projects with a charitable purpose and broad community benefit.
Board chair Murray Baud said the decision to make grants available year round would benefit community groups.
"Moving to a model whereby the program remains open for 12 months, enables the Inglewood and Districts Community Bank to support community organisations when they require it, rather than just at the start of the financial year," he said.
"COVID has demonstrated to us all how quickly circumstances can change, so we wanted to ensure our grants program provided flexibility in response to community need, as it arises."
Previous community organisations that have been able to achieve goals through the grants program include the Inglewood CFA, the Men's Shed, Inglewood Tourism and Development Committee, Eucy Museum and the Serpentine Play Group.
Projects supported have purchased everything from vehicles to chairs and supported educational and community activities.
