Fire crews were called to the house in Peg Leg Road at 2.52am.
A Fire Rescue Victoria spokesman said five crews attended the fire at the single-storey weatherboard home.
"(The house) was well alight on arrival and was under control in about 30 minutes. It is being treated as suspicious," the FRV spokesman said.
"(Crews) believe it was an unoccupied dwelling."
