BENDIGO LEAGUE
STRATHFIELDSAYE is the new ladder-leader in the Addy Iso-Season for the Bendigo league after displacing Golden Square from top spot in round 16 on Saturday.
The Bulldogs have held top spot since round two, but lost their second match in three weeks when beaten by 17 points by the Storm at Tannery Lane.
The Storm won 12.13 (85) to 10.8 (68) and are now riding a nine-game winning streak as the business end of the season approaches.
In the other big result from Saturday, Eaglehawk claimed its first scalp for the season of a top-five side when it beat Gisborne by 38 points at Gardiner Reserve in what was a preview of the elimination final.
Kyneton's improved form continued, with their 18-point victory over South Bendigo at home the Tigers' third win in a row.
The three wins on the trot comes on the back of the Tigers having been 1-12 after 13 rounds.

HEATHCOTE DISTRICT
Flag favourite North Bendigo's premiership odds have been slashed even further in the Heathcote District league after the hammering the Bulldogs inflicted on Lockington-Bamawm United.
In what was a clash of 1st vs 2nd, the Bulldogs landed a massive psychological blow on the Cats with a crushing 98-point win.
The shellacking was a 131-point turnaround from their round seven meeting, which the Cats won by 33 points, but this time the Bulldogs never gave LBU a sniff, kicking eight goals to one in the first term.
While the Bulldogs further strengthened their credentials, White Hills has fought its way back into the top five.
White Hills' 19-point win over Mount Pleasant, coupled with Heathcote's 61-point defeat to Huntly, allowed the Demons to leap over the Saints into fifth spot.
In the final game of the round Colbinabbin won its fourth on the trot, beating Elmore by 76 points.

LODDON VALLEY
For the first time this season Mitiamo is in the Loddon Valley league top five.
The Superoos have been chasing their tails all season when they started 1-5, but they continued their resurgence with their most notable win so far by beating Pyramid Hill by four points, 11.13 (79) to 11.9 (75).
Having won 12 of their first 13 games, Pyramid Hill has now dropped two in a row after going down by 20 points to Bridgewater the previous week.
Newbridge is the team that has lost its place in the top five to the Superoos after the Maroons were beaten by Bridgewater by 27 points.
Marong fell just short of what would have been an upset win against Bears Lagoon-Serpentine, but a late goal to the Bears' Miggy Podosky from deep in the pocket edged them over the line by four points.
It was a vital victory for the Bears, who would have dropped out of the top five had they lost.
