Works at Huntly Station, to be located near Wakeman Road in Bagshot, will be completed by mid-2022, a year ahead of the original 2023 target.

The government has released concept maps for new train stations in Huntly, Raywood and Goornong.

The maps depict the proposed location of car parking, station platforms, footpaths and public toilets.

The Huntly Station concept map features a drop-off zone and two bus bays.

The new stations will each feature single-sided platforms, tactile paving, seating, pedestrian shelters and car parking with lighting and CCTV.

The state government has committed $49.6 million to the Bendigo Metro 3 Project, which will see three new train stations created on the Swan Hill and Echuca lines.

Huntly and Goornong Station's will be on the Echuca line and follow Epsom station and precede Elmore Station, when travelling from Bendigo.

Raywood station will be on the Swan Hill line and follow Eaglehawk, when travelling from Bendigo.

Goornong Station will be the first to be built and will be completed by the end of 2021, with Raywood Station on track to be finished by late 2022.

Geotechnical drilling and surveying has already been completed at each station site to inform design and engineering plans.

"Each of these stations will connect residents to more opportunities for work, education and health," Ms Allan said.

"It's fantastic to see that Huntly Station will be finished even sooner than expected."

The proposal for three new train stations formed part of the state government's 2018 re-election campaign.

Public consultation on the three new station is open from today, with residents encouraged to provide feedback at bigbuild.engage.vic.gov.au

"We want to have input from residents on these stations and that feedback will inform the final designs before we start construction," Ms Allan said.
