THE family of Bruce Evans have thanked hundreds of police and volunteers who helped in the search for their father.

The 79-year-old's body was found on Saturday. He was reported missing on Wednesday, last seen on Tuesday night.
Son Wayne Evans said he wanted to thank everyone for their efforts.
Specialist police units, Country Fire Authority, the State Emergency Service, the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning and Parks Victoria all helped with the search.
Scores of volunteers also stepped up to help in the search.

Mr Evans said he had been touched by the number of people their to help in the search.
He said he was amazed at the people who turned out to help in all kinds of ways.
"We'd just really like to thank the community, it was a fantastic effort," Mr Evans said.
"The Raywood community everyone was there, all the volunteers have come along.
"The police left no stone unturned, they were just fantastic."
