POLICE have confirmed a 27-year-old Castlemaine man and a 36-year-old Baringhup man were killed in the crash at Muckleford on Friday night.
Police believe a Mazda sedan was travelling east on the Maldon - Castlemaine Road about 9.40pm when the driver veered from the road and crashed into a tree.
The two men died at the scene.

TWO men have died after a crash in Muckleford on Friday night.
Police believe a Mazda sedan was travelling east on the Maldon - Castlemaine Road when the driver veered from the road and crashed into a tree.
Both occupants, believed to be in their 20s and 30s, died at the scene.
