Police are considering a penalty notice for the driver of a black four-wheel-drive involved in this morning's collision.
Senior Constable Paul Lethlean said the driver crashed into the side of a cream-coloured station wagon as it turned onto Strickland Road.
"It's one of those things where they failed to give way," he said.
Senior Constable Lethlean expected an 89-year-old woman would be taken to hospital for observation.
She was in the passenger's seat of the station wagon. The car's passenger-side door took much of the collision's impact.
"She (the passenger) seems alright, there doesn't appear to be any injuries to her. They are just checking her because of her age and might take her to hospital," Senior Constable Lethlean said.
