It has been confirmed that a total of four Department of Education employees who have visited the site have now returned positive results for the virus.
It was revealed at the weekend that Malmsbury Youth Justice Centre was in lockdown after a worker, understood to be an education co-ordinator, was confirmed to have COVID-19.
"We will continue to work with the Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human Services to minimise any potential risks for young people and staff," a Department of Justice and Community Safety spokesperson said.
"We will continue to support and monitor the health and wellbeing of all young people and staff at the facility," the department spokesperson said.
Visitors to the site must wear personal protective equipment and undergo temperature testing.
Meanwhile, Loddon Prison at Castlemaine is among six prisons in Victoria that have gone into lockdown after an officer returned a positive COVID-19 test result.
