Presented by Bendigo Venues and Events, The Way Back will feature local rockers Four Lions, colourful songstress Sherri Parry and legendary troubadours Chris and Josh De Araugo.
It will be Parry's first live performance since March.
"It's an exciting and terrifying thing to dive back into," she said. "But it will be along side some amazing musicians and crew members. I'm ecstatic at the idea of it.
"I'm pretty much a musician full time. I have a casual job in retail but haven't wanted to work there during COVID-19 because my family are extremely immuno-compromised. I don't want to take the risk.
"(Not being able to perform) has been really detrimental. I have struggled with that a lot in past couple of months. We are able to lock ourselves away and create but (it's difficult) when we can't really express or share (music) the way we like to."
Bendigo Venues and Events manager David Lloyd said COVID-19 restrictions had been challenging for the local music industry.
"We're really pleased to be able to invest in local musicians during this difficult time and to be able to present a high-quality performance for the wider community," Mr Lloyd said.
"Our online performances are providing great opportunity for our staff and venues to build operational readiness for reopening, as well entertainment for our audience.
"We look forward to a time in the future when we will be in a position to see audiences return to our spaces, subject to government restrictions."
Parry said said the chance to be back on a stage would be great for her mental wellbeing.
"It will perk me up for the rest of the month. At the beginning of lockdown I ended up writing 10 or 15 new songs and this is the perfect opportunity to showcase some of them," she said.
"The Way Back have extremely cautious (in preparations) and it means a hell of a lot in times like this. I'm extremely grateful (for the support of) the performing arts. Even on this single event we will have 100 people who have a job this weekend, that's amazing. In the current climate, that's all we can ask for."
