French brought up her 50th winner at Lord's Raceway on Thursday night aboard the seven-year-old pacing gelding Hard Rock Shannon.
Just as satisfying for French as the milestone, the winner was trained by her father Terry.
"It wasn't a real thought out plan with dad's horse, we were just driving for a bit of luck, but then I got a bit of cheeky good luck approaching the 400m when the one in front of me came off the fence," she said.
"I got a good run into the sprint lane and managed to eat them up in the straight.
"Afterwards it didn't really click until the photographer came to take our photo that it was my 50th winner, and it made all the more special that it was with dad."
French entered the night on 49 wins and had four drives booked.
She came close to notching the milestone twice earlier in the night, finishing third on another of her father's horses Goodtime Rusty, before finishing second on the in-form Keith Semmens-trained trotter Downunder Barkers.
Hard Rock Shannon, the seven-year-old son of Rock N Roll Heaven, has been a fabulous acquisition for the French stable, winning three of seven starts since his arrival last month.
"He's very consistent, but can be a handful - he's got quite a bit of attitude," French said.
"But he's getting better with each start. He's a seven-year-old now, but he still has a few tricks.
"I don't say it very often, but I think he likes me driving him and I'm getting used to driving him and enjoying it."
The win extended Hard Rock Shannon's overall record to 13 wins and 21 placings from 106 starts.
French has been in brilliant form since the move to regional racing in Victoria, with 21 of her career wins achieved since early April.
The 23-year-old believed a win was nearing for Downunder Barkers, after the six-year was only narrowly beaten by the smart Jess Tubbs-trained mare Cash Lover, who has returned to racing after a spell in superb form by notching four-straight wins.
"He's flying at the moment, he's another horse who just needs a bit of luck to go his way at the moment," French said.
"His barrier draw didn't help him last night - barrier seven.
"But he's going up in class and looking more at the metro races from now on.
"That will be a challenge for him, but a good challenge. He's definitely up there and is competitive. We just need that good draw with him."
