Surveyors were on site on Thursday.
The stations were announced in 2018, but no design has been released yet. They will each feature a single-sided platform, with lighting, seating, shelters and car parking.
Rail Projects Victoria will engage with residents in Raywood, Goornong and Huntly in the coming weeks to talk about design, and understand what the community wants.
The surveying work follows site investigations which included groundwater sampling and geotechnical drilling.
The government is planning to make sure construction happens at the same time as the Echuca line upgrade, to minimise disruption.
OTHER NEWS:
A timeline on when construction will begin is yet to be announced.
Construction was due to begin on the Goornong station in 2019 and finish in 2021, when first announced.
Raywood was due for completion by 2022, Huntly by 2023.
