THE number of active COVID-19 cases in central Victoria remains at six.
The latest breakdown from the Department of Health and Human Services shows there are four active cases in Greater Bendigo, one active case in the Macedon Ranges, and another active case in the Campaspe Shire.
There are still no active cases in the Mount Alexander, Loddon, Central Goldfields, and Gannawarra Shires.
The numbers have not changed from Monday, when Greater Bendigo recorded a new active case.
A Bendigo Health spokesperson said the new case did not come from the hospital's testing.
Case numbers are subject to change, as DHHS contact tracers follow up cases and analyse data.
The department said the residential location was the residential address provided when the case was notified.
It was not where they were infected and may not be where the case currently resides.

VICTORIA is yet to turn the corner on its COVID-19 fight, health authorities have warned.
It came as the state recorded 270 new cases on Tuesday.

He said Victoria depended on people doing the right thing to drive down the numbers of new cases.
A total of 86 people are in hospital in Victoria suffering from COVID-19. Dr Sutton warned this number would increase over the coming weeks, saying 10-20 per cent of patients required hospitalisation.
A number of Victoria's new cases are linked to aged care facilities.
Earlier
VICTORIA has recorded 270 more COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, as it draws in more troops to assist in response to the outbreak.
Premier Daniel Andrews announced the state would be assisted by about 1000 more army personnel, as it fought the spike in coronavirus cases.
The number is on top of 335 Australian Defence Force personnel already working on the state's response.
Mr Andrews said these would be involved with state control centre planning, logistics, intelligence reporting, public health response, data management and analysis.
This included manning the "hard boundary" between restricted and unrestricted zones, and testing.
Many Ambulance Victoria crews will be supplemented by ADF staff, as the premier warns many paramedics will inevitably have to self-isolate.
The state recorded 177 new cases on Monday, including one new case in Greater Bendigo.
