BENDIGO LEAGUE
IT was a one-sided round 13 of the Addy Iso-Season for the Bendigo league on Saturday, with an average margin of 79 points across the five games.
Strathfieldsaye gave its percentage a boost as it kicked both the season's highest score of 176 and recorded the biggest winning margin with a barnstorming performance against Maryborough at Princes Park.
The in-form Storm, who have won six in a row, had 46 scoring shots to 10 in their commanding 141-point victory, 26.20 (176) to 5.5 (35), as the long season begins to take its toll on the young Magpies.
In other blowout margins of a round where all games featured top five vs bottom five sides, unbeaten Golden Square disposed of Castlemaine by 94 points; Sandhurst knocked over Kangaroo Flat by 86 points; and Eaglehawk accounted for Kyneton by 54 points.
The closest of the matches was the 20-point margin Gisborne defeated South Bendigo by at the QEO.
The 14.12 (96) to 11.10 (76) win for the Bulldogs moves them three games clear of the sixth-placed Bloods with just five rounds remaining.

HEATHCOTE DISTRICT
Top side North Bendigo's scoring blitz continued in the Heathcote District league with another goalfest for the third game in a row.
Having kicked scores of 155 and 158 in their previous two games, Saturday's dreary conditions didn't prevent the Bulldogs from banging through the season's highest score of 25.22 (172) in a 137-point demolition job on the sliding Heathcote, which lost its third game in a row.
Leitchville-Gunbower's strong form continued, with the Bombers' 80-point win over Mount Pleasant at Toolleen their fifth in a row.
Second-placed LBU broke away late from a gallant Elmore to win by 15 points, while Colbinabbin had to scrap for four quarters against the determined Huntly to get over the line by nine points and string together back-to-back wins for only the second time this season.

LODDON VALLEY
Just percentage now separates Newbridge, Bears Lagoon-Serpentine and Mitiamo from fourth to sixth on the Loddon Valley league ladder, with the trio all on six wins apiece.
The surging Mitiamo continued its revival with a thrilling three-point win over Calivil United that extended its winning streak to five.
The Superoos trailed by 15 points at three quarter-time, but dug deep in the last term, hitting the front late thanks to a Jarryd Wiegard goal and then defending grimly for the last two minutes.
Bears Lagoon-Serpentine started well against top side Bridgewater, kicking the first four goals, but the Mean Machine was jolted into action and kicked 16 of the next 22 to win by 38 points.
In other games, Pyramid Hill handed Marong its seventh loss in a row as the Bulldogs prevailed by 37 points at home, while after trailing Maiden Gully YCW by 13 points at half-time, Newbridge over-ran the Eagles to win by 16.

NORTH CENTRAL
Birchip-Watchem has clawed its way into the North Central league top four for the first time this season.
The red-hot Bulls made it six wins in a row by beating top side Wycheproof-Narraport by 16 points, 12.11 (83) to 10.7 (67).
It has been a stunning revival for the Bulls, who have turned what had been a 1-6 record after seven rounds now into 7-6.
On the other hand, Wedderburn's concerning form slump continued, with the Redbacks' 51-point hiding at home from Sea Lake Nandaly their fifth loss in their past six games.
Donald kept itself in touch with the top four thanks to an 18-point win over Charlton, while St Arnaud put an end to its five-game losing streak by defeating the out-of-sorts Boort by 39 points.
