Retirees need more support
The only assistance given by the government to self-funded retirees who are losing money for their livelihood daily was to suggest they could halve or take a lesser percentage of their pension as their living allowance. How damn generous.

Not only that but it was an 'opt- out' offer, so mine was already at a minimum and it was so thoughtfully halved by this government who would love to get their talons into the super that people have accumulated.
This Government went ahead and halved the money I was drawing down to live on; money I spent over 27 years working for and put aside for retirement.
And before some upstart millennial suggests that I sell an investment property; let me say I don't know of any self-funded retirees who have holiday houses or multiple investment properties.
I know self-funded retirees who have worked in service industries for in excess of 27 years and who, like me, have put in numerous unpaid hours and guarded their retirement funds in order to be self-sufficient, asking nothing from governments.
We keep losing money and all the government can suggest is that we can live on even less.
Well watch out if we all need to go on the pension. The government coffers will be stretched then and millennials will be working even longer to pay for it.

Media failing community
As our Chief Medical Officer, our doctors, nurses, both here and interstate, contact tracing personnel, charity organizations, the military, police, and all of the volunteers, do everything in their power to help the vulnerable, as well as do there very best to keep all of us safe, there are sections of the media that are intent of tearing our communities and the State apart.
They are doing so without any regard to the consequences of their actions nor do they care, as all they are interested in is total negativity, and fear mongering.
This once in a lifetime pandemic has once again shown, that the media in Australia, cannot behave in a responsible manner regardless of the situation.
What has this country come to?

Social distancing needs to improve
Firstly, thank you to all the people who are doing the right thing in regard to social distancing.
As a keen walker and observer of human behaviour, I have found that the big supermarkets are the worst. Customers in the aisles and at the checkouts constantly breaking the rules.
I have expressed my concerns to fellow shoppers and have been laughed at. Sorry for this story but it is the truth. Keep well.
