Two men charged in relation to a shooting and home invasion in Bendigo last year will appear in court for a committal hearing later this year.

The matters of Justin Michael Talbot and Ashley Vincent Slattery went before the Bendigo Magistrates' Court on Wednesday morning.
Mr Talbot appeared via video link, but Mr Slattery did not appear for health reasons.
A two-day committal hearing was scheduled, to begin on September 30.

This will determine whether there is enough evidence to send the matters to a higher court.
Mr Talbot and Mr Slattery are each charged with aggravated home invasion, aggravated burglary, intentionally causing serious injury in circumstances of gross violence, recklessly causing serious injury in circumstances of gross violence, intentionally causing serious injury, recklessly causing serious injury, intentionally causing injury, recklessly causing injury and conduct placing a person in danger of serious injury.

The charges stem from an alleged home invasion in York Street on September 29, 2019.
During the incident, a man was shot in the leg.
Mr Talbot and Mr Slattery were arrested following a series of police raids in the Bendigo area in April.
Mr Talbot remains in custody, while Mr Slattery's bail was extended.
