From the moment the first group rolled away they were quickly back up to speed and in the zone ready for a big race.
First up were the under-11/13s who set out for eight laps of the 1km circuit.
As they began the rain started which set the stage for an interesting opening race.
Riders surged as they familiarised themselves back to bunch racing and as the laps reached the pointy end the pace picked up.
At the bell it was Adam Gale who let them through for a an action-packed final lap.
Heading onto the final straight Chase Hadden and Archie Powell were locked wheel-to-wheel with Tobias Jelbart trailing closely behind.
However, Hadden was able to take the win ahead of Powell and Jelbart in third.
Gale was named as the winner of the Golden Number Award for a performance which included a fine display of strong riding against older age group competitors.
Next on the track were the under-15/17 cyclists who were split up into two groups (A and B) and competed simultaneously.
The A-Group set out for 20 laps and was fast-paced from the get go.
Curtis Harrison showed some aggressive riding from the start but was unable to break clear of his opponents which included Ethan Matthews who had stepped into the A-Group and showed early form.
On the bell it was Toby McCaig who led, followed by Harrison, Nate Hadden, Angus Gill and Jamie Coles hot on his heels.
On the final straight Coles hit the group with flyer and looked to have victory sealed but GIll put on a masterclass and overtook him in the final metres to take the win, followed by Hadden in third.
In the B-Group Will Mannes showed strong form from the start and after a few laps the main group was down to four riders.
The lead switched between riders until a split with just a few laps left on the board.
Milana Freer and Mannes fought it out for first place followed by closely by Haylee Jack and Lilyth Jones not far behind.
Mannes proved too fast for Freer and took a debut victory with Jones holding off Jack for third position.
