Police say a 30-year-old man has died after he was dropped off at a Bendigo hospital with suspected gunshot wounds on Sunday.
The Spring Gully man was left at the hospital in a critical condition on Sunday night. Police were called about 8.40pm.
Police did not confirm when the man died.
Homicide squad detectives are yet to establish the exact circumstances around how the man was shot.
On Monday, police set up a crime scene in Epsom as part of the investigation.
Investigations are ongoing and detectives have spoken to a number of people of interest.

A man who was left at a hospital with suspected gunshot injuries on Sunday night has been identified as a 30-year-old Spring Gully man.
The man was in a critical condition when he was taken to the Bendigo hospital.
Police are investigating the circumstances of his injuries and will be conducting patrols in the area, today and throughout the week.
