In total there were 54 entries across several different classes, which led to an action-packed day on the Bendigo Kart Club's home track at Maiden Gully.
"Everyone was really excited, including members from other clubs, to try our new surface," Bendigo Kart Club president Matthew Ferrari said.
"With the new surface it made for some really interesting racing as some drivers set their karts up for the new grippy section, while others had it set up for the old section."
Up for grabs was also one of the club's most special trophies, the Kentucky Cup.
Joe Brancati edged Marc Tune by .658 seconds to secure the prestigious bucket.
