A man in his 20s was taken to Bendigo Hospital in a stable condition with upper body injuries following a car rollover in Lockwood on Monday morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene, between Nevinson Road and Bradford Road at about 8.20am.
Police at the scene believe the driver was travelling along Bendigo-Maryborough Road towards Bendigo.
They believe the driver was talking to someone on the phone shortly before the incident.
The man allegedly went to read a piece of paper when he started to lose control of the vehicle.
Bendigo Leading Senior Constable Bruce Slimmon said the incident involved a single vehicle and occupant.
"The car has veered off to the left and into the dirt," Leading Senior Constable Slimmon said.
"The vehicle then flipped and rolled twice.
"The occupant was able to get out of the vehicle with minor injuries and he may be charged at a later date."
The Nissan Navara ute has damage to its side mirror and windscreen.

Police investigations will continue after a car rollover at Lockwood early Monday morning.
Police believe a male driver was travelling along Bendigo-Maryborough Road towards Bendigo, talking to someone on the phone.
The man allegedly went to read a piece of paper when he started to lose control of the vehicle.
Bendigo Senior Constable Talisa Ormston said the driver overcorrected and rolled the car.
The man had minor injuries and was taken via ambulance to Bendigo Health for observation.
Senior Constable Ormston said police would continue to investigate the rollover.

Police, ambulance and fire services have attended a car rollover at the intersection of Bendigo-Maryborough Road and Nevinson Road in Lockwood on Monday morning.
Crews attended the scene at about 8.20am.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said one person has been taken to Bendigo Hospital as a result of the incident.
