The Emerging Performance Squad brings together some of the most exciting talent from Premier Cricket and the Victorian under-19 pathway for a pre-season training program.
Sessions will be conducted twice a week at the CitiPower Centre under the guidance of Victorian high performance and specialist coaches.
The program will encompass a mix of skills, strength and conditioning, nutrition, psychology and performance management.
The program will commence next month and will continue until the end of September.
"This year's Emerging Performance program aims to provide the selected players with continuity in their respective journeys in the game,'' Victorian assistant coach Andre Borovec said.
"As has been traditionally the case, there are a broad range of skill sets and experience within the squad.
"We celebrate the fact that this squad provides some players who may not have had any pathway opportunities in the past, with an opportunity to be involved."
Stepien and Seymour pushed hard for selection in the Victorian state squad after brilliant summers with Carlton and Essendon respectively.
Seymour, who made 711 runs at the top of the order and took 24 wickets with his off-spinners, tied on 28 votes with Ringwood's David King.
Both players made strong contributions with the Victorian second XI at Toyota Cup level.
