The Victoria men's and women's squads were announced on Wednesday, with Crone one of 22 players earning a full contract in the men's squad and Vlaeminck one of 20 players named in the women's squad.
Moama's Todd Murphy, who was part of Sandhurst's BDCA first XI premiership side in 2017-18, was given one of six rookie contracts alongside former Bendigo Cricket Club junior Sam Elliott.
Former White Hills keeper-batsman Brayden Stepien, ex-Bendigo all-rounder James Seymour and former Sandhurst spinner Liam Bowe missed out on contracts.
With fast bowlers Peter Siddle (Tasmania) and Chris Tremain (NSW) leaving Victoria, Crone has a golden opportunity this summer to expand on the three one-day matches he played for his state last summer.
Last summer the 23-year-old represented the Cricket Australia XI against the touring England Lions and captained the Victorian second XI.

Vlaeminck continues her recovery from a foot stress fracture injury suffered on the eve of the women's T20 World Cup in February.
The injury cost the fast bowler the opportunity to play in the World Cup-winning team.
Prior to the injury, Vlaeminck had a standout summer in national colours and was named the Betty Wilson Young Cricketer of the Year.
If she's back to 100 per cent fitness, the 21-year-old's next opportunity to play for Australia is against New Zealand in late September.

The long-term goal for Vlaeminck is the one-day World Cup in New Zealand in February-March next year.
Murphy's rise to a state rookie contract comes off the back of a breakout Premier Cricket season with St Kilda and good form with the Australian under-19 team.
In an interview with the Bendigo Advertiser last summer, the off-spinner said his one season with Sandhurst was critical to his development.
"That year with Sandhurst shaped me into the player I am now. Working with Craig Howard developed me from a part-time spinner into a proper bowler,'' Murphy said.
"It was the most important year of cricket I've had. I'm forever grateful to Sandhurst for taking me on board."
Sam Elliott, son of Australian and Victorian opening batsman Matthew Elliott, played junior cricket with Bendigo for a few years before moving to Melbourne to join Premier Cricket club Fitzroy-Doncaster.
This summer will be Elliott's second season as a rookie contracted player.
Maryborough cricket product Cam McClure also earned a rookie contract.
The promising young fast bowler played most of his junior cricket in Maryborough before moving on to Wendouree in Ballarat and then to Essendon in Premier Cricket.
