Police have fired at an SUV after it was allegedly driven at officers in Elphinstone this afternoon.

Victoria Police say the incident happened this afternoon after officers attempted to pull the car over on the Calder Freeway.
Police noticed the SUV driving at high speed on the Calder Freeway near Kyneton.
The car was kept under police observation. It stopped in Harmony Way, Elphinstone, to let out a female passenger.
Police then attempted to intercept the car but it drove at officers. The officer then fired a number of shots.
The female passenger was arrested at the scene.
Other police units followed the SUV and intercepted on the Calder Highway at Kyneton where three males were arrested. They are currently assisting police with their inquiries.
The Professional Standards Command has been notified as per normal protocol when a police firearm is discharged.
No one was hurt during the incident.
