Bendigo trainer Nick Smart started the ball rolling when he prepared Go Ballistic for its second career win in the Pea Co 0-58 Handicap (1600m).
Under the urgings of jockey Jarrod Lorensini, Go Ballistic jumped straight to the front from barrier 11 and that's where he stayed.
Runner-up Rewarding Ruby ($3.30) made a late surge, but Go Ballistic ($4.40) held on to win narrowly for career win two from 13 starts.

In the following event, Bendigo galloper The Wrangler scored a gutsy win in the Bendigo Door Centre Benchmark 64 Handicap (1354m).
From a wide barrier, The Wrangler worked forward to sit outside of the leader Reine Happy.
The two frontrunners kicked clear at the top of the straight and had a two-horse battle down the straight.
Despite having the tougher run, The Wrangler ($15) was the stronger of the horses over the concluding stages and defeated the George Osborne-trained Reine Happy ($9) by half a length.
It was The Wrangler's second win from three starts this preparation for in-form Bendigo trainer Jarrod Robinson.
The Osborne stable made up for Reine Happy's narrow defeat when Celeritate Regem scored a final stride win in the Happy 70th Birthday Geoff Rigby Handicap (1204m).
Leader Astro Castro ($3.60) looked the winner with 50m to go, but impressive apprentice hoop Campbell Rawiller lifted Celeritate Regem ($5) in the concluding stages and pipped Astroa Castro on the post.
It was Celeritate Regem's second win in its past three starts for the Kyneton-based Osborne yard.

Bendigo trainer Kym Hann rounded out the day with victory in the final event.
Hann's consistent sprinter Royal Tyke proved too strong in the Benchmark 58 (1000m).
After recording one win, three thirds and a fifth placing in its previous five starts, Royal Tyke ($3.70) rewarded punters with a tough on-pace victory ahead of the fast-finishing Beejay's Hero ($15).
Hann's focus now turns to Swan Hill on Monday where he unveils the unraced Big Boy's Girl in the opening race.
The three-year-old has impressed on the track and is the favourite in early markets.
Meanwhile, the Bendigo Jockey Club hosts a strong nine-race card on Sunday.
The most intriguing race for local fans is the final event where Bendigo galloper Ttaunka will chase a hat-trick of victories for trainer Bob Donat.
On Saturday afternoon the Bendigo track was rated a slow seven.
