They have submitted plans to knock down the front walls and build more cooking space with the City of Greater Bendigo.
All four of the front walls and the veranda would be taken down and moved closer to Railway Place, owner Leah Wilson said.
"We have been so busy we have run out of room," she said.
More news:
Business has been building in recent years as a large and growing Facebook audience clicks in for "pie drives" and other online offers, Mrs Wilson said.
The Wilsons also opened a temporary Elmore Bakery drive-through in Bendigo last May.
The Elmore kitchens can still sell all its food on the same day it is made, but extra space would help bakers manage demand, Mrs Wilson said.
The building's last renovations were only completed in September 2015.
"We'd had this gorgeous little country bakery but it was too little for what we wanted to do, so we extended out into the backyard," Mrs Wilson said.
The extra space would give three bakers extra room and space for a new oven and huge new kettle.
The council's city planners are considering the application.
