Lead by Ross Garnaut, the uplifting plan outlines how over the next five years, by investment in renewable energy and transmission, carbon neutral buildings, electrified transportation and recycling plants, we can create over one hundred thousand sustainable jobs.
A large regional centre like Bendigo is well placed to capitalise on these smart solutions.

Inquiry needed
With the astounding allegations made against Adem Somyurek, I feel that all members of the ALP should have their membership checked for validity and who paid for their membership.
With these allegation it would appear that the problem could be widespread for the amount of power that Somyurek had so in the interest of honesty, Daniel Andrews needs to allow a full public inquiry into the ALP and see how widespread this type of corruption is.
How could any voter believe any thing he has to say unless he has this inquiry conducted ASAP.

Look forward, not back
I do not think that pulling down the statues or changing place names is the way to forget the hurts of the past generations.
Why should we choose to forget?
Having these statues and places serves to remind us that people did things that we now consider hurtful.
However, being reminded is not a bad thing.
We are currently working to further improve the work that generations before us have done in terms of racial equality.
Yes, the statues should cause us to remember. To imagine the hurt that was caused years ago. But they should also serve to remind us that we have not been sitting on our hands.
All things including racial equality have improved since the building of those statues.
When we see these statues we should celebrate our achievements (however small), not pull them down and hide behind our ignorance.
Let us use the statues to remind us what was, and to encouraged us to continue to work tirelessly toward total racial equality.
Without the need for uncontrolled demonstrations and destruction of our history.
