We hope you find Your Mental Health 2020 magazine, a first for the Bendigo Advertiser, a comfort and a source of reliable information in these uncertain times.
The aim of this guide is to encourage everyone to talk about mental health problems more openly.
It has been produced with input and guidance from some very experienced and knowledgeable mental health professionals.
But we are also inspired by the amazing stories of the great people, organisations and communities working hard, learning from and supporting each other, and by their successful approaches and programs that can and do help on a daily basis.
By creating a resource that is easy to read, with stories that are relatable, we hope to get people talking openly about mental health challenges and knowing when and where to find help when they need it.
Other great reading includes knowing the ABCs of stress, the serious issues that loneliness can cause, and the simplest of things like how to ask for a bit of a hand when you need it.
Look out for Ivan Honey's new book called Sid Gets Scared, it's just the right touch when talking to our kids about what's going on in today's world.
