A MAN is police custody after an attempted armed robbery at Hungry Jacks in Bendigo.

Detective Senior Constable Russell March said the attempted burglary happened at the High Street restaurant about 1.30pm on Monday.
The offender allegedly used a pair of scissors to threaten staff.

Senior Detective March said a 40-year-old man was in custody and assisting police with their inquiries.
No one was hurt in the incident.
Senior Detective March said anyone who saw the incident should contact the Bendigo Police Station on 5448 1300.
