The "immersive theatre experience" Mountain Goat Mountain was launched online last month in the depths of the coronavirus lock down.

All families need is a charged audio device, a bed sheet, an A4 piece of paper and things to draw with.

Mountain Goat Mountain has proven popular even as Victoria's social distancing restrictions have eased.

Kyneton's Simeon Moran and his family were able to play out the experience with friends visiting for the first time this week.

"The kids loved the opportunity to share it with another family and friends," he said.

Mr Mettler's family had extra reason to show off its love of Mountain Goat Mountain.

Seven-year-old Henrietta Mettler was one of the actors whose voices brought the experience to life.

"I was the person who gave all the instructions," she said.

"Things like what costumes to wear or also creating a character by drawing it on a piece of paper."

Henrietta was chosen for the role because of her "wonderful voice", Tahli Corin, co-founder of production company Threshold said.

"It's got this beautiful, husky and rich warm tone. And there is just a sparkle of mischief to it," she said.

Ms Corin and fellow theatre producer Sarah Lockwood created Mountain Goat Mountain as friends lost work at shuttered Melbourne theatres when the pandemic arrived in Australia.

Both live in Kyneton and create works for people in regional areas, many of whom do not have access to performing art.

Ms Corin hopes the 45-minute Mountain Goat Mountain experience will keep bringing together families and friends in regional Australia.

"Everyone has spent a lot of time together over the last few months and what has been lovely to hear back from families is that is (Mountain Goat Mountain) has enriched that time," she said.

"It kind of knocked them out of that routine that we've all got into in terms of how we connect with each other and look for adventure.

"That is something we so often look outside our homes for."

Mountain Goat Mountain is also being used by families overseas to break the monotony of isolation.

"We've had sales in the United States, Edinburgh, Singapore, and France," Ms Corin said.

Threshold created Mountain Goat Mountain with the support of Arts Centre Melbourne, the Adelaide Festival Centre's DreamBig Children's Festival, HOTA, Home of the Arts and Awesome Festival Perth.
