With more than 1300 players participating in the league, the BSNA is one of the biggest junior netball competitions in country Victoria.
The 2020 season was postponed in March because of COVID-19 restrictions, but the league remains hopeful the juniors will get the opportunity to play some netball this year.
"The Bendigo Strathdale Netball Association is following the direction and progression from the state authority Netball Victoria and the state government, working towards a reutrn to play,'' the BSNA said in a statement.
"Options of a variety of competition structures have been sent to all clubs. The reponse to those options will be discussed at our next meeting.
"The BSNA is looking forward to, hopefully, having a competition in 2020.
"Obviously, the competition might look different to what we've been used to in recent years as we'll be working with rules and regulations around COVID-19."
From Monday this week netball clubs were able to expand training groups to 20 players at outdoor venues, but training was to remain non-contact.
"Netball Victoria will continue to support associations, leagues and clubs through this unprecedented time to ensure they adhere to the Return to Community Netball guidelines," a Netball Victoria statement said.
"Netball Victoria continues to advocate on behalf of our community to the state government for a roadmap to resume competitive netball.
"At this point in time, we are advocating for a recommencement of competition netball in mid-July 2020."
Meanwhile, Netball Australia announced on Tuesday that the Deakin University Australian Netball League season has been cancelled due to financial pressures and inconsistent restrictions on training and matches between states and territories.
The DUANL is Netball Australia's feeder competition into Suncorp Super Netball and is a key development pathway for the next generation of elite netballers, umpires, officials and administrators.
