The new oval at the Havlin Street West park is ringed by a synthetic walking and running track, along with a new white picket fence.
Training-standard lighting has also been installed.
"We are now establishing grass on the oval and finalising some minor completion works so it is ready during the cricket season," Lincoln Fitzgerald, City of Greater Bendigo active and healthy manager, said.

Mr Fitzgerald said designing the second stage of the redevelopment was underway.
The next stage will involve construction of a new skate and scooter park.
In the future, Ewing Park will feature a learn-to-ride bicycle park with a roundabout, pedestrian crossing and road markings and signs, as well as outdoor exercise equipment and a regional cycling trail 'way-finding' hub with a shelter, toilet and information on Bendigo's shared trail network.
A car park and new paths will also be constructed.
The redevelopment aims to accommodate wider public use of the park.
