Bendigo Art Gallery will soon reopen, following the state government's announcement it would loosen coronavirus restrictions in Victoria.

The gallery will open its doors to the public next Saturday, June 6, 11 weeks after it closed due to the health crisis.
There will be a maximum of 20 visitors allowed in each separate space of the gallery and every visitor will have to provide contact details upon entry.
"Hand sanitiser will be available for visitors as they enter the foyer and there will be additional staff placed throughout the gallery to ensure that all visitors are observing social distancing and to help manage visitor movement through the gallery spaces," director Jessica Bridgfoot said.
Sneeze guards will be in place at the front counter and staff will disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
The gallery has two exhibitions open: Bessie Davidson and Sally Smart - Two artists and the Parisian avant-garde and Ross Taylor: Field Notes.
The gallery is reviewing when public and education programs will return.
The exhibition Piinpi - Contemporary Indigenous Fashion will open on September 5.
No dates have been set for the reopening of other arts spaces in Bendigo, such as The Capital, Ulumbarra, the Engine Room and Dudley House.
The City of Greater Bendigo will wait for further announcements from the state government and work with peak industry bodies on reopening these spaces.
The Golden Dragon Museum has announced it will reopen on Tuesday, June 2.
