At a league meeting on Monday night the LVFNL board and clubs decided to wait at least another week before making a decision on the 2020 season.
"The LVFNL board of management has discussed with member clubs relevant information and guidelines provided by the Victorian state government, AFL Victoria and Netball Victoria and the restrictions relating to the 'Return to Play','' LVFNL chairman Simon Tuohey said in a statement.
"Whilst we await further advice from relevant government and governing bodies it has been agreed no decision regarding the 2020 LVFNL season will be made prior to Tuesday, June 2, 2020.
"The LVFNL board of management acknowledge the uncertainty and trying circumstances all in the LVFNL are experiencing and understand the health and safety of all involved in the Loddon Valley Football Netball League is paramount."
Government policy on gatherings remains the key point for LVFNL clubs.
If crowds are unable to attend matches then it's unlikely the season would go ahead.
Late last week neighbouring league the Heathcote District Football Netball League decided to cancel its 2020 season.
The North Central Football League and Bendigo Football Netball League are waiting at least another week before making a call on whether their season goes ahead.
