Of those cases, 1062 have been recorded in metropolitan Melbourne and 243 in regional Victoria, with the remaining cases under investigation.
Greater Bendigo has recorded nine cases of coronavirus.
A Bendigo Health spokesperson says its screening clinic has tested more than 1600 people for coronavirus.
"Since the testing criteria was expanded by the state government last week, the clinic has tested 535 people at an average of 53 tests per day," the spokesperson said.
27 people across the state are being treated for coronavirus in hospital, including one patient at Bendigo Health.
Chief health officer Brett Sutton says a dip in Victoria's daily case rate is encouraging.
"It proves that our physical distancing measures are working but this is not a time to relax our strong approach - this disease can get away from you very quickly as we have seen in cities overseas," Mr Sutton said.
