A MAN has allegedly been caught driving more than 70 kilometres over the speed limit in Faraday.

Central Goldfields Highway Patrol intercepted the car travelling northbound on the Calder Freeway about 2.30pm on Sunday.
The 33-year-old driver was allegedly travelling at 182km/h in a 110km/h zone.
The man is expected to be charged on summons to appear at court at a later date.
The Kia Serato was subsequently impounded.
The intercept was part of Operation Nexus, an Easter long weekend road safety operation.
