* Tanya Day kicked off a V/Line train at Castlemaine in Victoria about 3.14pm

* Police officers take her from train platform in a divvy van to police station where they put her in a cell about 4pm.

* Ms Day suffers several falls and an ambulance is not called until 8.03pm

* Taken to Bendigo Hospital before she is airlifted to St Vincent's

* Ms Day dies in hospital

* Inquest begins

* Continues for three weeks and hears from more than 29 witnesses including V/Line staff, police officers, paramedics and medical experts

* CCTV footage of Ms Day falling five times in her cell is played at inquest

SEPTEMBER 6, 2019

* CCTV footage of Ms Day's fall is released publicly after her family campaigned for it to be made available

SEPTEMBER 13, 2019

* Last day of inquest and Ms Day's family calls for criminal investigation into the grandmother's death

WHAT THE TANYA DAY CCTV FOOTAGE SHOWS:

* 3.56pm. Tanya Day enters police cell with four officers.

* 3.59pm. Left in cell on her own to "sober up".

* 4.21pm. Falls for first time after stumbling around cell. Hits back of her head while trying to lie back on cell bench.

* 4.44pm. Second fall. After trying to walk to water fountain inside cell, she falls back and hits back of her head against wall

* 4.50pm. First physical check by two police officers. One officer comes to cell window, looks in for three seconds and asks "are you okay Tanya?", she replies "yes".

* 4.51pm. Seconds after officers walk away, she gets up, stumbles, and cracks her head on cell wall. This causes her to suffer brain bleed. She dies 17 days later.

* 5.04pm. Fourth fall. She is holding her right arm, which seems to have no movement. She falls backwards and is unable to get back up.

* 5.09pm to 5.28pm. She tries to get up, cannot move right arm.

* 5.35pm. Second check by one officer, who looks through cell window for three seconds before walking away.

* 5.36pm. She waves wrist in what appears to be an attempt to gain movement.

* 6.38pm. Fifth fall, from the bench onto the floor where she hits back of her head. Tries to sit up but fails. It appears she can't use the right side of her body. Does not get up again.

* 6.43pm. Third check. She is lying on floor with a blanket over head. Officer at the cell window asks "are you okay?", to which he says she replies "yes".

* 8.03pm. Police enter cell as four-hour sobering up period has passed. They notice bruise on her forehead and lift her onto the bench. An ambulance is called.
