Access might be off limits to the hundreds of Bendigo's dedicated players.

However, the Bendigo Basketball Association has big plans to keep all players engaged and focused on their performance.

"For the next little while we will be upping our game on social media platforms to make sure we're able to stay in touch," BBA president Ben McCauley said.

"We aim to get some engagement with the players via competition videos and other interactive methods.

"I am currently tracking down some past players to help create some content, so keep your eyes online as we have plenty of great stuff coming."

Above all the BBA wants to ensure players remained engaged during these unprecedented times.

"We might not be able to be together in person as a team, but we can do it online," McCauley said.

"It really is a tough time for everybody.

"If we can get some stuff out there for the enjoyment of the kids to get them playing the game they love, then they will be more than ready once we can open the doors to the stadium again.

"We look forward as much as you do to the sound of basketball filling our stadium again."

The BBA recently published a message to its community in a show of support to all players, parents, coaches, referees, volunteers, staff and club administrators.

"While necessary, these actions have had considerable impact on many people, and we understand that at this time some of our community will be struggling emotionally, physically or financially due to the suspension of basketball in Bendigo," McCauley said.

"Please know that you are in our thoughts and we offer our unconditional support during this difficult and challenging time."
