Fastest on the track at the Latrobe University Bendigo athletics complex in Flora Hill for the second year running was Eaglehawk's Kye Mason, 11.11 for the 100m, and 22.63m, in the 200m.
Hawks' clubmate James Bentley was best in the 400m, 50.92; and 800m, 2:03.18.
In a season where he racked up plenty of wins on the VAL circuit, Michael Preece from Bendigo Harriers clocked the best time of 4:12.84 in the 1500m.
Harriers' clubmates Brady Threlfall, 3000m in 8:27.30, and Jamie Cook, 31:37 for 10,000m also starred.
South Bendigo's Archie Reid ran the 5000m in 15:35.
In the hurdles action, Daniel Baldwin from Harriers achieved a superb time of 57.06 in the 400m.
Others to excel were clubmate Xavier Pitt, 90m; South Bendigo's James Woods, 110m, and Zackery Tickell, 200m; and Eaglehawk veterans David Chisholm, 100m, and Terry Hicks, 300m.
Best at steeplechase were Harriers' Taine Lang, 2000m, and Lachlan Carr, 3000m.
South Bendigo's Peter Curtis led the way in the 1500m and 3000m walks, clubmate Leigh Browell in the 5000m, and University's David Lonsdale at 2000m.
Six of the eight field disciplines for men were led by Bendigo Harriers athletes.
Logan Sandland starred at discus, 47.77m; and hammer, 57.26m.
James Miller soared two metres at high jump, and hit 6.60m at long jump.
The javelin was led by Alex Pitt, 49.48m; and shot put by Jake Gavriliadis, 15.04m.
South Bendigo's James Woods cleared 4.80m at pole vault to cap another superb season.
Best at triple jump was Eaglehawk's Lachlan Start at 12.99m.
Harriers' clubmates Abbey Conquer and Gretel Holmes dominated the track duels.
Conquer was fastest in the 100m, 12.90m; and Holmes in the 200m, 26.75, and 400m, 1:01.13.
A brilliant season for University's Tullie Rowe included being fastest in the 800m, 2:21.57; 1500m, 4:59.09; 3000m, 10:51.02; 200m hurdles, 36.31; and 2000m steeplechase, 7:12.
Harriers' veteran Anne Buckley reigned supreme in the 5000m and 10,000m.
Fastest at the 80m hurdles was South Bendigo's Scarlett Southern as Eaglehawk's Jorja Peace dominated the 90m, 100m and 400m in times of 14.40, 15.63 and 1:14.
Juliet Heah from Bendigo Harriers completed the grueling 3000m steeplechase in 14:58.
South Bendigo's Jennifer Payne led the charge in the 1500m and 3000m walks, and Tiffany Bussem-Jorgensen from Harriers was fastest in the 2000m.
The national open shot put champion of 2019, South Bendigo's Emma Berg achieved a best of 13.70m at LUBAC and also led the discus on 42.68m, and javelin, 38.41m.
Eaglehawk's Olivia Graham hit a mark of 47.65m at hammer as clubmate Denise Snyder was number one at high jump, 1.70m; long jump, 5.36m; and triple jump, 10.75m.
In the pole vault action, South Bendigo's Trudy Haines cleared 2.05m, a record for the 40-plus class.
