For the second year running the Carlton player has made the AFLW All-Australian Team, with the final 21-player squad, in addition to the captain and vice captain to be announced at the W Awards.
Harrington went into 2020 on the back of a strong season in 2019, which included playing in the grand final against Adelaide.
One key highlight from the 2020 season was taking on a leadership role with Carlton.
"Above all taking on the captaincy role was a great opportunity while it also presented challenges which included week-to-week team responsibilities in addition to focusing on my own game," Harrington said.
"But as the season progressed performing on game day became easier as I was used to what my position required."
Overall as a team, Harrington was pleased with what Carlton was able to achieve in the season that was impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
"In comparison to last season where our form was a bit up and down, but where we were still able to put on a performance to get to the grand final, this season we were a lot more consistent."
"We certainly deserved our position in this year's preliminary final."
Carlton was due to play North Melbourne in the preliminary, but in the lead-up to the game the season was cancelled.
The 2020 season was first reduced to just six rounds due to the coronavirus pandemic, but was then called off in its entirety after the Victorian government announced a shutdown of all non-essential activities in late March.
Carlton only lost one game during the shortened season, against Collingwood in round two.
"The maturity of the group showed from our bounce back after the loss. We were able to build and learn from it and our consistency towards the finals was the most pleasing thing from the season.
"We're hoping to have a good tilt at the flag next season."

The 2020 season was marked to be one of the biggest in the league's history, with several new teams in the mix, Richmond, Gold Coast, St Kilda and West Coast.
"The season will be remembered for many reasons, the fact it wasn't completed, but also the four new teams," Harrington said.
"The game itself went to another level and there are plenty of positives to take from that."
In addition to Harrington, fellow former-Bendigo Spirit player Ebony Antonio, who now plays AFLW with Fremantle, also made the All-Australian squad.
