Only Bendigo, Castlemaine, Echuca, Maryborough, Kyneton and Gisborne stations remain open to the public at this time.
Victoria Police has closed the reception counters at just over 40 per cent of stations across the state, but says this will not affect police response.
"This forms part of the changes we are making to our service delivery model to ensure we have more officers out on the road patrolling, and will stop unnecessary face-to-face contacts and risk of transmission in line with the Chief Health Officer's guidelines," the police force told the Bendigo Advertiser.
Police officers and staff will continue to work from the stations closed to the public.
Residents are encouraged to call the Police Assistance Line on 131 444 or report online for any non-urgent matters.
In an emergency, call triple zero.
