Every-Hall, who learnt her craft on Lake Weeroona, has been named as the 2019 Vic Sport Community Coach of the Year.
The award recognises commitment to rowing through her role as the director of Rowing at the Melbourne-based Power House Rowing Club.
Every-hall helped build a strong culture of inclusiveness and has bridged the gap between school programs and clubs.
The Olympian and former world champion was "humbled to receive the award".
"I was shocked when I found out that I had received the award," Every-Hall said.
"And what was great to see was the number of nominees associated with disability in sports."
Every-Hall's career in rowing started back in the early 90s where she took up the sport as an elective at Flora Hill High School.
Under the guidance of Bendigo Rowing Club life member Denis Nihill, Every-Hall learnt to row on Lake Weeroona.
"She was always talented, but also a good listener, and eagerly soaked up our instruction," Nihill said.
"Her senior rowing career blossomed under Australia's elite coaches, and she is now taking that insight and giving back to grass roots community clubs."

During her career Every-Hall represented Australia at international competitions, winning a gold medal at the 2002 World Rowing Championships.
Every-Hall competed at the 2012 London Olympics in the lightweight double scull alongside team-mate Bronwen Watson, with the pair finishing in 5th position.
After her career came to an end, Every-Hall was determined to continue to help grow rowing in Australia, in addition to maintaining her strong link with Bendigo.
She is a driving force behind Bendigo rowers taking part in coaching camps and mentor programs at the Power House Club, including working with the club's current champion, Livia Rosaia.
The BRC has an annual award named after Every-Hall which recognises the talent of promising young female rowers.
