Rawiller showed his class with two great rides to guide Beautiful Flyer and Coruscate to victory in back-to-back races early in Saturday's Golden Mile meeting at the Bendigo Jockey Club.
"On a big Bendigo day to get a double is very pleasing and in a time when things are difficult," Rawiller said after his win on the James Cummings-trained Coruscate.
The win on Coruscate was Rawiller's third city winner for the powerful Cummings and Godolphin team in the past month.
"It's obviously huge for me and where I'm at in my career to be able to get an opportunity with Godolphin and with James Cummings.
"He's a pleasure to ride for, it's a world class outfit, and to the Victorian stable looking after things and the staff they do an amazing job.
"At the end of the day it's a big stable with some really good horses and every horse is treated with great passion, so when you get to ride for a stable like this, even trackwork, it's good fun."
Rawiller was full of praise for Beautiful Flyer, who scored a tough win in race two on the card.
"I'm really rapt that I could get this winner,'' Rawiller said.
"The owner Brad got on to me yesterday and filled me in on how she needed to be ridden. It was awkward three wide with no cover but she just got into a beautiful rhythm and was tough late."
Rawiller has a good record on Golden Mile day and would have liked to ride in front of a big home crowd.
However, coronavirus concerns meant no spectators were on track on Saturday.
"It's a little bit frustrating, it's such a great day Golden Mile Day, and the Bendigo community get right behind it and what a great day we have got,'' he said.
"It's a shame that we haven't got any people here to enjoy what is a great day's racing, full fields all day."
Rawiller lauded Racing Victoria officials and the state government for allowing racing to continue.
"Massive well done to Racing Victoria who have put in place very strict protocols for us to be able to continue and everyone in the industry is adhering to those rules and we are giving the government great confidence going forward,'' he said.
"Rapt to be able to come out today under difficult times and get a great winner."
