Bendigo Police Senior Constable Matt Trist said investigations.
he confirmed a 34-year-old female driver and a child were taken to Bendigo Health.
"The woman had a broken ankle," he said.
"(She) collided with a tree and has gone though power pole providing power to Telstra exchange.
"PowerCor have since restored the power."
EARLIER:
A woman and a toddler have been taken to hospital after a car crash east of Bendigo.
Emergency services were called to Axedale at 5.20am on Friday.
Paramedics say the woman aged in her 30s suffered lower body injuries.
The toddler, a girl, suffered minor injuries.
They were both taken to the Bendigo Hospital in a stable condition.
The Country Fire Authority said the crash also brought down a powerline.
