The Bridgewater Water Ski Club's season has come to an end following recent state government restrictions related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The club's home course is on the Loddon River at Bridgewater and requires access via the caravan park, which is also now closed.
However, the club also wanted to take extra precautions inline with state government advice and restrict its members from non-essential travel to regional areas.
"The mandated government guidelines specify that non-essential travel includes travelling to Victorian regional areas should be avoided," BWSC president Mick Collicoat said.
"Myself and the BWSC committee wish, that as a club, we should show the utmost respect to the Bridgewater Community.
"Taking into consideration all of the above, we regret to inform our members that as of 12 midnight, 25th of March 2020, the slalom and jump course will be closed for the remainder of this season, bringing our season to an abrupt end."
