When the decade began in 2010 the Storm had just one season under their belt having joined the Bendigo league in 2009.
But year by year the club took steps forward, from 7th in 2010 to 6th in 2011 to 3rd in 2012 to 2nd in 2013 and then for the first time - premiers in 2014.
The Storm's breakthrough premiership in 2014 when they beat Sandhurst by 55 points would be the first of four senior flags the club won the for decade.
The Storm were also premiers in 2015, 2017 and 2019, with their most dominant season being their all-conquering 2015 when they went through undefeated with an average winning margin of 60 points.
As well as their four senior premierships, the Storm boasted the BFNL's longest winning streak of the decade when they peeled off 39 wins in a row that started against Castlemaine in round four of 2014.
The Storm wouldn't lose again until round three of 2016 when beaten by Golden Square by 24 points.
That loss to Square was also the game star forward Lachlan Sharp suffered a season-ending knee injury.
However, injury setbacks that included a ruptured ACL, broken leg and hamstrings didn't stop Sharp from being the BFNL's most prolific goalkicker of the decade with 655.
Sharp made it a clean sweep in 2017 when he won a premiership medal, AFL Victoria grand final medal, Michelsen Medal and Ron Best Medal in what was a season where he finished with 142 goals.
That 2017 season was also the year in which the Storm celebrated a trifecta, winning the senior, reserves and under-18 premierships - the first club to do so since Gisborne in 2002.
While Sharp was well clear in the goalkicking - Sam Mildren was second on 243 - the Storm's best player votes for the decade were led by Kallen Geary (248).
Geary (half-back) and Sharp (forward pocket) were the only Storm players selected in the BFNL Team of the Decade.
But they also provided the coach in Darryl Wilson, who was at the helm of the 2014, 2015 and 2017 flags.
