THE Bendigo Fighting Miners have postponed their 50th anniversary celebrations that were due to be held in June.
"Regrettably, due to the coronavirus / Covid-19 and consequent government regulations, we have been forced to postpone the planned celebrations of our 50th anniversary on the Victorian Queen's Birthday weekend," the club announced on Monday.
"At this point in time we cannot set a new date."
The Fighting Miners had three days of 50th celebrations planned, headlined by a gala function with the special guest former Wallabies captain Nick Farr-Jones.
The club was to also unveil Team 50 - the All-Star team from its 50 years, as well as the induction of new "immortals" into its Hall of Fame.
The Fighting Miners' 2020 rugby union season, due to start April 4, has been postponed, too.
