READ MORE - Addy EVCA MVP top 50
A MAN of the match performance in the final round clinched United captain Harry Whittle the Emu Valley Cricket Association's Col Brayshaw Award as the player of the year.
Whittle polled 13 votes to finish two clear of Maiden Gully's Matt Felini, Marong's David Blume - who had been the leader going into the final round - and Mandurang's James Pietromonaco as joint runner-ups.
Whittle's 60 and 2-45 against Marong in the final round earned him the three votes and gave him a two-vote victory, capping a season in which he was also the premiership captain and the EVCA's Country Week Player of the Week.
Other player of the year winners were Marong's Richard Murphy in division two, Maiden Gully's Mathew Morgan in division three section one and California Gully's Geoff West in division three section two.
The EVCA won't hold a formal presentation night for this season due to the coronavirus situation.
