The council was due to meet on Tuesday night, with the next scheduled meeting not until April 28.
A shire spokesperson said arrangements for that meeting would be considered in the coming weeks.
Loddon Shire councillors were due to consider a solar farm proposal at Tuesday's meeting.
The shire's officers recommended councillors approve the 200 megawatt solar farm, about 20 minutes north of Bendigo.
The recommendation came despite an objector raising concerns about property values and the loss of farmland.
