And the likely headline would have been celebrating a historic fourth Cricketer of the Year award for star Strathdale-Maristians' all-rounder Cameron Taylor.
If there has been a hotter favourite going into a Cricketer of the Year vote count than what Taylor would have been on Wednesday night in the history of the BDCA then that player must have had one heck of a season given Taylor's home and away output of a record 906 runs to go with 31 wickets.
But with the BDCA's presentation night and vote count postponed to a date to be confirmed due to the coronavirus crisis, the Addy has put together a mock 2019-20 first XI vote count.

FINAL LEADERBOARD:
And yes, there are no surprises. After trawling back through all the season's scorecards we have Taylor as a runaway winner on 21 votes - seven clear of his nearest rival, Bendigo's Kyle Humphrys on 14.
We awarded Taylor - who finished 585 points clear in the Addy MVP - votes in eight games, including the maximum three in six matches and by round nine he had already what would prove to be a winning total.
Take Taylor out of the equation and it would have been a thriller of a count with just three votes separating the next seven players.
