The event, which attracts hundreds of entrants from across Australia, will be rescheduled.
"We would like to see what happens over the next four weeks before we even try set a new date," a statement on the event's Facebook page said.
"For any entrant wanting a refund we will 100 per cent refund your money, however we cannot guarantee there will be a spot for you at the rescheduled event date.
"We have loads of people inquire over the past few days knowing the date will be moved.
"If you still want to compete in the rescheduled event your entry will just roll over. If for some reason you cannot make the new event date you will be 100 per cent refunded."
