The Bendigo Braves were scheduled to tip-off their season in the south conference on April 18 with an away game in Mount Gambier, but it has been announced that no conference will start any earlier than May 15, for now.
NBL1 chief operating officer Andy Crook said the health and welfare of players, staff, officials and fans was the number one priority.
"These are obviously challenging times for everyone and we will continue to monitor the situation along with the state associations and assess all of our options," he said.
"We hope to be able to be in a position to still play this season but we will be guided by the relevant health authorities and provide regular updates."
